Calgary: Birth Unlimited
Contact: (403) 237-8839

We are a resource for people seeking information about natural birthing options in Calgary. We have listings of midwives, doulas, doctors and other complementary health practitioners who are what we call baby-friendly, meaning they share a philosophy in keeping with the Midwifery Model of Care.

Edmonton: Association for Safe Alternatives in Childbirth (ASAC)
The Association for Safe Alternatives in Childbirth (ASAC) is a part of a growing network of parents and health professionals who believe that childbirth is a normal, healthy part of life, of special significance to the pregnant woman and her family. ASAC was created to encourage alternatives to the technological approach. We believe parents have the right and the responsibility to make informed choices about childbirth and that a full range of options should be available to them -- in the hospital, at home, in a birthing centre and with professional care givers of their choice.

Lethbridge: Babies First
Babies First, formerly the Southern Alberta Childbirth Association, is a young, exciting vehicle for promotion of healthy, natural childbirth in Southern Alberta. With the closest midwives being in Calgary, Babies First is in the right place at the right time to make more birthing options available to women in Chinook Country.
